Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Halbur. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

ALL ladies from ALL of the churches of Good Shepherd Parish are invited to a Ladies Guild Christmas Party!

Church cleaning will be completed at St. Bernard's on November 17th and 18th. Ladies who did not contribute $15 for church cleaning are expected to help for one hour.

Betty Jean Rettenmaier, age 72, of Carroll, IA, and formerly of Sioux City passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.

BINGO!! St. Bernard’s will be hosting Bingo on Sunday, Nov. 7th at the Breda Legion. Doors open at 2:30pm and Bingo will start at 3:00pm. Cost is $20 per person. Food will be provided and there will be lots of fun prizes and cash to win. Mariella “Lollie” Derner, age 81 of Sac City, IA, passed away on Sunday, October 17th, 2021 peacefully at her home after an extended battle with cancer.

Elaine Eleanore Buelt passed away on January 21, 2020, at Accura HealthCare. She was born to Bertha (Testroet) and John Buelt, Sr., on April 26, 1942, in Carroll, Iowa. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021 at St. Lawrence Church – St. John Paul II Parish in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Kevin Richter. Music will be by Kathy Halbur and Sherry Loughran. Lector will be Stan Buelt. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Halbur.

Sister Mary Myron Stork, FSPA, 105, died Monday, October 4, 2021, at Villa St. Joseph, La Crosse. She was in the eighty-sixth year of her religious profession.

Mercedes Catherine Drees, 82, of Carroll, IA, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Sunnybrook Assisted Living in Carroll. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Roselle with Deacon Scott Steffen officiating.

The 2021-22 St. Bernard Guild letter and work schedules for upcoming church fundraisers are on the table in the back of church.
