January 27, 2026The Celebrant will be Fr. Terry Roder. Music will be by Jane Heithoff and the St. Augustine Choir. Lector for the Funeral Mass will be Jerome Henkenius. Gift Bearers will be Maureen Darr and Ann Hernandez. Eucharistic Minister will be Lois Dentlinger. Casket Bearers will be Kevin Heinrichs, Martin Berger, Dan Henkenius, Darrell Henkenkius, Paul Schenkelberg and Dan Herbers. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Halbur.
A visitation will be held from 9:15-10:15 a.m. on Thursday at the church prior to the Funeral Mass.

Pauline was born on October 22, 1933, to Michael and Catherine (Hoffman) Berger at her parents' home in Roselle, Iowa.
On June 1,1982, she married Carl Schenkelberg and worked many years in the Schenkelberg store in Halbur.
Pauline enjoyed many activities such as singing, dancing, cross stitch, cooking, baking and growing flowers. She was very kind and sincere and known to many as a dear and sweet person.
She is survived by two sisters, Bernadine Heinrichs and Mary Jane Berger, both of Carroll, Brother-in-law Jerome Henkenius, Arcadia, Iowa, and Sister-in-law Mary Jane Goecke of Omaha, Nebraska, along with many nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl, two sisters, Norma Henkenius and Delores Herbers and one brother, Arnold Berger.
