Lois, daughter of John and Susan (Schulte) Steinkamp, was born November 4, 1934, in Breda, Iowa. She grew up and attended school in Breda.
On October 26, 1957, Lois was united in marriage with Albert Sturm at St. Bernard’s Church in Breda. Albert and Lois farmed for 33 years in the Breda area. Lois worked at Zeke’s Place for more than 30 years and at the golf course for a number of years, as well. She was an avid card player and loved a good game of euchre.
Lois will be most remembered for helping others. She loved all of her nieces and nephews and took care of them just like her own. Lois was a member of St. Bernard’s church and was active in the women’s group.
Lois is survived by a sister-in-law Marge Steinkamp of Ankeny and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Susan Steinkamp and her siblings: Iver, Anita, Dale, Norville, Roger, Eugene, Jack, Delores, Irene, Rita, Duane, Don and Merle.
