Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Arcadia.

The St. John's Guild in Arcadia is hosting a Parish Coffee and Cookie Exchange on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023 after 8am Mass in the parish hall. Bring 3 dozen cookies--1 dozen to share and 2 to trade. You will go home with a delicious variety of cookies for the holidays! :)

The Parish office has been notified that people are receiving texts that say they are coming from Fr. Roder. The text asks that the recipient buy gift cards for someone who is battling cancer. Please IGNORE these texts if you receive one. Fr. Roder would never ask you to buy gift cards for anyone.

The Parish office will be closed on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 in observance of the Holy Day.

Masses for All Saints day will be as follows: Oct. 31st--5:30pm at St. Bernard's in Breda Nov. 1st--7:30am at Sacred Heart in Templeton Nov. 1st--5:30pm at St. John's in Arcadia

November 12th, 2023 from 4:00pm to 6:30pm at the Templeton Center. Only $12 for adults and $6 for kids over 3. Kids 3 and under are free.

The Parish office will close at 1:30pm tomorrow, Tuesday, October 24th.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Holy Spirit Church – St. John Paul II Parish in Carroll.

The weekend of Oct. 14th and 15th the Knights of Columbus will be at Masses at Breda and Arcadia for their Annual Tootsie Roll Drive. The Knights will be at Mass in Templeton on Sunday, Oct. 22nd.

Eucharistic Procession on Friday, Oct. 15, 2023 from St. Lawrence church to Holy Spirit church in Carroll. Lunch to follow at the Greteman Center at Holy Spirit. Starts at noon. All are welcome.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for Jerry’s family at www.sharpfuneral.com.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday, August 31 at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Visitation also from 2-4 pm Friday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll, IA. Funeral Mass will be 9 am Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthington, officiated by Fr. Miguel-Parochial Vicar & Deacon Vern Behrends. Burial will be 4:15 pm Friday at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll, IA.
